when my dad took the truck and had the mufflers replaced, they put 2.25" pipes coming out of the muffer! how much would that hurt my performance instead of 2.5" pipes?

doesnt matter because i have a little tiny pinhole exhaust leak where one of the pipes comes out of the muffler and i'm just gonna have a shop replace them with 2.5" pipes. i was just wondering how much it would hurt performance wise.
