Fuel tank removal

I searched the site and cant find an exact answer to my question. Hoping someone with experience can answer, I like to plan these things out makes it easier.

I ordered a new fuel tank and I need to get the existing one out. Inside the cab everything looks pretty straight forward, remove lines unbolt etc... question is do I just pull the tank through the rubber ring on the outside of the truck? I dont want to replace that if I dont have to (which I might since the new one is an market tank).

Thanks in advance.
