Burp,.burp,...burp
I'm guessing it's most likely the float and/or fuel pump,...but frequently after either a quick shutdown and restart or sometimes after a long wait at a red light as I accelerate using a moderate amount of throttle, the motor surges from fuel starvation. It will surge 3,4, 5 times and then it's all OK. I used to remove my foot from the throttle, but it works just as well to merely keep my foot where it is and wait it out. It smooths out in about 10-15 seconds and runs fine. Am I on the right track? Also, on the first start of the day,...she'll die from fuel starvation a couple times, then again all starts for the rest of the day are fine. (I replaced the cartridge filter on the carb,...didn't help).
Thanks for your inputs. Jack |
