I was thinking "If you want a car buy a car". You asked for opinions. Yeah I'm an El Camino lover and I defend them. But those were good old Chevy Malibus that a common man could afford. And they didn't have the limitations these do. Remember, they were station wagon-based, so made to haul more than a coupe or sedan. I feel these are along the lines of the SSR, which I feel is a waste, a novelty. These look like expensive special interest play toy novelties. Australia has always had Utes and loved them. I'm sure the concept of the Rancheros and El Caminos originated from looking to Australia where that has always been a type of vehicle. Ranchers loved them, but I don't see ranch vehicles here. I think these are neat, but hardly Utes. More like stylin' cruisers for the suburbs of Sidney. I do think we are looking at the pickup of the future, and not far off!
