1965 Protecto-Plate / Warranty Booklet
PRICE REDUCED-$15 SHIPPED
Recently acquired this and having never seen such an early example I had to Google it. 1965 is the very first year that GM used the metal plate, previously was just a printed paper warranty. Very hard to find and unique piece for a first year item. A few items I've learned about this Protecto-plate. Truck was originally delivered to Pierson Chevrolet in Dewey Co, Taloga, Okla. on Nov. 17, 64. Was the 19,107th truck built for 1965 at St. Louis, 283 engine and 3.73 rear axle. Paint code 544 is red I believe. Kinda guessing here, not really great at deciphering these plate codes Some water stains on cover, writing on back shows windshield was cracked July 25th ('65 ?) since was delivered in 64? Two Delco battery warranty slips intact. Warranty of 24 months or 24,000 miles. A cool early Protecto-plate for your 65 truck glove box and dash at the local car/truck show. $15 shipped to your door, money order, do not have Paypal.
