power steering fittings and lines
I posted a few months about using a 1984 p/s pump and a 1968 p/s box and how to mate these two together. I am now at the point that this needs to happen. I got in touch with Lee in Ca. and his fix was to get a fitting that fitted the 84 and the other end be a common fitting and get a fitting that fitted the 68 steering box with the other end being a common fitting that matched the common fitting on p/s pump. So, I bought what he told me would work and to be honest it all sounds correct, but now that I am trying to put it all together, I have a problem. The fitting that he sold me are male on both ends. Now, if I install them in my p/s box and my p/s pump then I have 2 common end, except they are male ends and p/s lines are male on both ends. So, do they make p/s lines with female ends or will I have to adapt the adapters???
I don't know about you but just trying to relate this has me confused!
I'll try to contact Lee next week and see if he can sort this out. I guess I could get a line with one of the correct end on it and cut the other end off and replace it with what would work. ??? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED....THANKS!
