Rockwell t221/NP205 coupler differences

Anyone made a NP205 coupler work in place of a Rockwell coupler. I have the SM465 trans and Rockwell t221. My coupler doesn't seem correct. Looks like it is short and doesn't stick through the seals far enough. I know the 205 coupler is longer, which I could cut down. I already have the seals for the smaller diameter 205 coupler. I was just wandering if anyone has done this to keep their old Rockwell going.
