Re: My Facetruck thread.
We laid John to rest today.
We had a good laugh, and I can't help thinking John was laughing with us, knowing how many times John and I dealt with the "old car blues" in our travels. I drove the red and white super because it is one of my most dependable rides. We stopped for fuel on the way and when I tried to start it, nothing. A friend ran me back to the shop in his Schwartz chassis, LS3, Tremec six speed, 72 SWB. We got there quick. I jumped in the Longhorn with tools, and the starting problem turned out to be a loose battery cable. Then when we were leaving the cemetery, ours friends 50 Ford custom wouldn't start. It never gives trouble. John was a jokester, and I think John was messing with us.
