I use the skinny (OE 88-98 trim ring depth) trim rings on all steel wheels regardless of width. This allows showing the depth variance on the 'bigs & littles' w/o hiding the look of the wheel. YOMV....

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and opinions...I agree...thin for the win! Looks like the 88-98 trim rings are 1 3/4". My wheels are 15x7. So I think this would look good...
