Today I re-installed my Ramhorns after having the machine shop guy true them up on some kind of a plane or whatever. He said they were pretty warped but they came out fine. I could tell they had been leaking exhaust for a while when I pulled them, and the gaskets were a crispy "well done". Now, after machining them, I don't need gaskets anymore and the truck is noticeably quieter.

In the past I have painted exhaust manifolds with Rustoleum cold galvanizing compound in a spray can and it doesn't burn off. (It will discolor, but stays put.) This time around I bought a new can and did it again. The stuff used to be more silvery and shiny than it is now which is flat gray. The cap on the can was reflective of that change as well. Here's hoping the new formula is as tough as the old....
