help with front suspension
Need a measurement or an explanation.
I lowered the rear of my 71 4". The front is 50 year old stock springs. The truck sits about 1" higher in front than rear. So, I was debating cutting about 3/4" off the front springs. But upon inspection, the A arm is only 1.25" from the bump stop when parked, and it is obvious I have been riding frequently on the bump stops when in motion. I am curious how high the truck should sit off the bump stops if I had new front springs. I am guessing I need new front springs and a 2.5" drop spindle to get the perfect look, while still being able to use the truck. -Will someone with new stock springs give me a measurement? -Do most agree that 2.5/4 is right for a daily driver that you still use as a truck on occasion? Sorry for the crappy pic rotations Last edited by LockDoc; 03-24-2021 at 09:17 PM. Reason: Rotated picture |
