Awesome find and scored a nice tailgate

So a buddy of mine dropped by on Saturday and said his uncle called and told him about some Chevy truck parts that was sitting on the side of the road for sale. He also told him he seen a tailgate in the mix, so I pointed out to him I was in need of a tailgate. Before he had told me about the parts he had made his mind up that he wasn’t gonna bother with them, but after talking to me he decided to go. Upon arrival all the parts was being loaded on a scrap trailer to be hauled off to the scrap yard on Monday. In the parts pile was the tailgate, inner fenders, a rocker panel, a fender, a bed header panel, and a steering column among other parts. He offered the guy $100 for the pile of parts and he gladly accepted. So my buddy calls me and said come and get your tailgate! I asked him how much I owed him and he gladly said just bring me $50 bucks! Only parts my buddy needed was the steering column and the rest is extra parts I guess he will sale off to get his money back. It’s good to have good friends to help you out from time to time.
