Hello to all!!!! First timer here.....
I must say that this is a great place to spend my lunch break. I've learned a lot of things by just reading pevious posts that I never had a clue about. I must commend everyone on being so giving with the imformation that they have obtained. Now days that sometimes is a hard thing to come across.
I am from Southeastern Indiana. I currently own a 1970 K20. I ve had it for 8 years now. Bought it stock and threw a 6" lift and a set of 35" tsl's under it for the 4 years that I drove it. The past 4 years I've had it torn apart trying to work on it when the chance was there. I know that seems like forever but I work a 50 hour week as a CAD operator, plus I'm a big hunter who is in the woods from October to January. Then on the side I do taxidermy work for the next few months along with trying to squeeze some turkey huntin in on the side. My truck originally had a 350 with a 4 spd. with dana 44 front and Eaton hogshead rear with 4.10 gears and locker. I've swapped out the rearends for a 10 bolt and 14 bolt corporates with 5.13 gears. 15"s of lift to get it up and a set of 44" boggers to roll it down the road. I have a slightly modified 454 to give it a bit of power and I'm installing an automatic 350 with an NP205 case. As soon as I can get my pics scanned and figure out how to post them I'll get something up here for all to see. Mudder67, love the truck. I admire it every time I see it at the Indy Jamboree. Have fun and good luck to all!!!!!
