looking for bed wood tips.
Am about to start bed wood replacement (oak w/stainless strips and hardware). Any hints or good write-ups you know of to avoid any pitfalls? Also, am trying to decide on a finish. I've heard a marine grade varnish or polyurethane is a good choice, but was also considering tung oil, knowing I would have to reapply every so often. I'm a little worried that after a few years, a varnish would fade or peel, requiring a tear down, strip and re-finish. What do ya think?
Thanks! Dan
