Flip kit info
Ok, now for the past few days I've been playing with the idea of when I get the money, whether to get a flip kit for the rear or just get the add-a-leaf thing goin. Both seem really reasonable in price and quality. And you can always add leafs to the flip kit, so I'm more in tune to buy that. But my main question is, do I really need it?
I look at my shackles right now, I see what is basically the same thing, of course, with a little bit different design. So would I be able to just 'flip it' myself to get the lift?? Or is there a difference between what they're selling and what I already have? Besides actual lift height and such. Here's a site of one that has an application for my '80 1 ton. http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/shacklekit.htm Also, if anybody out there is using a flipkit, if you might be able to tell me where you got yours, cheaper ones, anything else I need to get for the kit, etc. etc. Thanks in advance for any and all help. |
