angle (in degrees) of rear output shaft to the rear diff.?
have'nt been frequenting the board much lately, as i've been doing a build-up of a '49 gmc 1/2 ton shrtbd. put a new 350/350 combo in w/ a 6" drop tranny cross-member. front sub-frame from a '76 chevy nova.... can't remember exactly the angle i need to be at for the rear pinion. i keep thinking it's 5-9 deg. but not sure.... anybody happen to remember? i got everything all finished as far as the engine/tranny being mounted and i have the drive- shaft in and hooked up to the rear diff. the angle coming outta the out-put shaft into the u-joint of the d.s. don't look right though. i put my magnetic angle finder on the d.s. and i'm getting 3 deg. positive angle.... and i think i need 5-9 neg. thanks to anyone out there....
