Seat swap
Hey folks, there isn't much online of people swapping the more recent generation's seats into our trucks. Things are definitely getting more complicated and as a result these seats are hard to find without paying big money. My friend has a 14-19 LTZ and ive always thought his interior was so nice. I got the itch a while back to try to swap a set like his in my truck.... Well a few months back I got lucky and found a set in a junkyard, that didnt have airbags deployed. The bottoms were rough but a pair of replacements from the seat shop did the trick.
Ended up running stand alone aftermarket seat heaters with a toggle switch on the bottom. The middle seat flips back all the way with the gas tank removed and has a lap belt. Im going to run 3 points so I removed the belt accessories when I was reworking these. I also removed all the extra unneeded wiring/airbags. The seats turned out just as good as I hoped. Im going to be down sizing my wheel to maybe a 16 or even a 15. Debating on if Im going to do a tilt column or not. I cant wait to get this truck finished. Now back to ls swap stuff. I made a video guide on how to do it if anyone is interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol4T...omRestorations
