1951 GMC 1 Ton Dually Pick Up Project
SOLD — I have a 1951 GMC 1 ton dually project for sale.
It started its life as a grain truck on a farm in Morris, IL. My vision was to make a 1 ton dually pick up using factory parts when possible. Only one of the rear fenders has been stretched so far. I have the un-stretched left rear fender. The following work has been performed… a) I made a new fuel line from front to rear and replaced the fuel pump. Also, the Zenith carb was rebuilt and installed a fuel filter. b) I did a complete tune-up…plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap and rotor. The engine was never frozen. After squirting some ATF in the cylinders and turning it over, then installing the spark plugs, the engine fired right up. It ran well with no unusual noises. c) The cab corners were replaced. d) The front panel of the bed was replaced with a new Mar-K panel. e) The frame and differential was sandblasted and sprayed with POR-15. d) The bed was cut down from 9’ to 8’. An OE replacement driver’s door window is included. Clear title. I have more pictures available. $4,500.00. Last edited by MRD; 06-16-2024 at 09:16 PM. Reason: Sold |
