How does fuel pump cutoff work?
Hey everyone,
I'm working on wiring on my 72 Jimmy with a 2013 4.8L engine, 6L90e transmission, and e38 ECM. Before I wrap everything up, I am considering putting in an inertial fuel pump cutoff. Like this one: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=10756&jsn=667 But is this even necessary for this setup? My fuel pump relay is triggered by the ECM, so does the ECM disable the fuel pump after a crash? I know the later generations of trucks switch to a Fuel Pump Control Module, but I'm unsure of how my ECM works. Any insight from owners of these trucks or engine swaps would be very helpful. Thank you!
