New Reproduction Cab Build step by Step
I'm looking for a little forgiveness from the moderator in advance here because the girl in this video hand builds a 1964 Toyota Stout Cab and not a 1967-72 Chevy Cab - but if you squint a little the cabs are very similar in their construction to point that as far as the demonstrated construction techniques the cab parts or sections would be virtually the same.
She calls the technique "Picking" and she uses mostly standard bead roller, shrinker stretcher and bending brake. I mentioned this in another post but when she removes the roof skin in an earlier video we can see that the A pillars of most trucks of the era are very likely quite rusty inside and likely need inspection for safety reasons unless you have a roll cage. Here is her latest video from yesterday: The bead rolled roof - 64 Toyota Stout Build https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrFj-Vv3UmA Stout Metalcraft 48.2K subscribers |
