Any way to verify a SPID sheet or ID a fake

I am sure there are probably some fakes out there but it there any way to verify a truck and its options? Many options were coded in the VIN but I imagine the re-sellers, flippers or rebuilders could make more money off misrepresenting a truck or just the persons trying to make a clone.

Certain things on my truck line up with what the SPID says but others seem wonky. I do not know enough yet to determine what but I suspect that either

1 -Someone slightly changed the truck and then someone else started putting the truck back to the factory original, but they never finished, and then another person added their flare to it.

2-Someone took my truck and tried to make it something it never was or made it a franken truck. It was repainted and they scribbled the build codes on the firewall

The best I can tell is the only things no factory about my truck are

aftermarket rally wheels added
2nd fuel tank removed
dual exhaust added
door protection molding removed
aftermarket air cleaner
highlander seat was replaced with a solid-color bench
repainted like a factory paint job
charcoal canister removed

I really don't care as it is a nice truck and I will enjoy it but it would be nice if there were factory records to verify it. I am sure an expert could point out a lot more things too. I am torn between trying to return it to factory's original. The thing is I like some of the mods and would probably never be able to get it original enough to pass muster at a car show for looking original.

I wont fret about it but I would love to know the true history of it and where it has been and what it has seen.

Freedom isn't safe, it requires you to take responsibility for your own life, your own safety, and your own success. It carries with it the possibility of failure and the understanding that you're working without out a safety net. If you give the state the responsibility for any of these you also give up the freedom that accompanies the responsibility.
