Anyways we have a 1959 Mercury (I know a f*&d made product) Monterey and we just recently had it running and drove it around

only to find out that we needed a new radiator well got all of the cooling issues taken care of and now it won't start.
I have checked everything I know of there is power going to the coil from the starter relay, BUT the wire that attaches on the other side of the coil (negative wire I think) is not getting anything for my test light, I can run a jumper ground and get a good reading on the test light when I turn the motor over but thats the only way to get power to the coil. And there is still no spark coming from the coil?? whats wrong? the wire that goes to the coil from inside the distributer connects to a red wire in the dist. and hooks up to the points system. What do I need to replace or fix?
Thanks
