Need Help on New Sheet Metal

I hope someone can help with this? Here is the way i look at it.
The cost of a new fender say $175.00 The cost of cleaning it up to be like new. You have to strip it, fill it, prime it, sand it and so on. the cost ? maybe $250.00
The problem i have is that i have been told by someone who sell them, is that they don't line up. Are there any good ones out there? the cost of new fenders and inners, doors and bedsides are way cheaper them body shops and it is new..... Help
