Talking Another Newbie today

Hello everyone from Beaumont Texas! It is beautiful here today. Sunny and 68 degrees. I just wanted to say hello to everyone on this board. I have been reading all of the information and such for the past two weeks trying to get remotivated on my 1972 cst c-5 2wd blazer project. I am a bodyman and painter by trade so why it has taken me almost 10 years to finish...two relationships and two divorces. But, my Blazer made it every time, almost. The last one stole the title that I never signed but she gave it back. A little bit about my blazer. It was running and driving when I bought it. Should have left it that way but tore it down completely. The only rust was two quarter size spots in the floors but I changed passenger and driver floorboards. Everything is shaved including the cowl vent holes and tailgate skin, firewall, sidemarkers and you know the rest. Frame has tubular crossmembers front and rear. Has 87 suburban front engine crossmember with newer style suspension, lowered spindles and springs. Rear has coilover suspension package from ECE and adjustable panhard bar. Have 355 smallblock built for it and it dyno'd 450 horsepower. 700r4 trans w/posi rearend w/3.73 gears. All new ppg glass in the doors. List is on and on. 18,000.00 invested and have done all of the work myself and still isn't complete or tub back on the frame either. Goal is to finish by July of next year to attend Texas Heatwave. Will keep you all posted and will try to post pics some time in the near future. Live in Deer Park and work in Beaumont so I only go to my house once a month. Keep up the good work guys!
