Thinking about buying a C10

I'm 19 and I can't afford to spend a lot of money on a truck or car. I want something that I can fix up to look nice. Today I came across this C10 sitting on the side of the road for sale. Most people would of looked at the faded puke green paint job with a bunch of primer spots and ran from it, but I seen what it could look like with a little bit of work. So I got the # off the for sale sign and called it up. The guy wants $900 for it.Ut runs, but it's not inspected because it needs exhaust pipes and the headlights don't work. He said there's probably a short in the wires or something. It has new tires and shocks. It's a 3speed manual. That's all the info I could get from him because he was busy at the time. I didn't get what year it is, but I'm guessing it's around a 69 or so. I'm not sure what engine it has in it.

Do you guys think it's worth the money?
