Pictures of a 72 LWB I am looking at

I took a look at this 72 longbed yesterday. It seemed to run really well. I am thinking about making an offer on it.

Its a 350 with a 4spd. There is only one spot of bad rust, that is on the door for the storage compartment under the bed. There is some surface rust under the hood, under the doors, and a few other sports. Nothing a little sanding and POR15 can't take care of. The underside is a little surface rust, but again, no realy bad rust or holes.

The engine is original, but has an Edelbrock intake and full-length headers. The owner says it has 258K on it. It does not smoke on start up nor does it smoke durring opperation. The starter, alternator, and battery will more than likely need to be replaced sometime soon. The owner has installed an electric fuel pump and replaced all of the rubber fuel lines. The transmission shifts fine, although the shifter does have a fair amount of slack in it. It has disc brakes up front and stops great.

The owner does have a box full of new weatherstripping, window felts, and sun visors. Both vent windows do not stay attached on the bottoms. It does need a new seat cover, carpet, and a new dash pad.

The paint is original, it has never been repainted. It does have a dent in the door, but that shouldn't be too difficult to repair as there is no crease in it. The rear bumper has to go. The front bumper has a small dent in it near the top. It does need some new taillight trim and a headlight bucket. The grill surround does have a few dings in it.

It will need new tires as they are a little small in diameter and have cracked. It feels like it needs shocks too.

All in all, it seems like a fairly solid truck. They are asking $2100obo. I was thinking about affering $1700 cash and see where it goes from there. What do you guys think? I have been wanting a 67-72 for a while now, hopefully I can pick this one up.
