Red face Somedays.....

Every week I run to the bank to cash the ol-pay check. And across the street is a house with a 68 3/4 4x4 long step and a 72 longbed 2wd. You can see he has parts behind the fence. But I have not stoped to BS with him. until today and it seems I was about a week to late.
Last week I saw he was working on the rear of the 4x4, Yesterday I saw the bed was off. So while I was out getting money orders I thought I would stop and see what he was doing.
I was told that he just trashed the long step he couldn't get a extra hand getting it off so when it did come off it landed on a fender and it went from there.
In the end he said if he had knowen that someone had a use for it he mite of given it away if they would help take it off. He had asked some ppl he knows and one guy only wanted the fenders and only one side..lol
The main reason he took of the bed is he is goig to take off the fleetside off the 72 and put it on the 4x4 he is getting a better bed for the 72..

So from now on I will stop even just to say Hi..
