Any luck with aftermarket hood hinges

I am contemplating getting a set of hood hinges for my 67. My fiberglass hood fits poorly, and part of this is due to my hinges have some wear. I have seen hood hinges in catalogs such as LMC and other chevy truck parts vendors but was wondering on if they were a improvment over 30+ year old hinges or not. I would get em chromed as soon as I do a test fit so I am not concerned with EDP coatings or ease of prepping for paint. If anyone has real world info please let me know what you think of em and where you got em.
