Heres the deal. I have 5 lug front disc (probably off a 71 or 72) and 6 lug rear drum and i need to get them on the same page so i can get some rims. My front disc are sitting on stock spindals and i plan to go with 2 1/2 drop spindals when i do my suspension drop (still trying to decide on springs or bags).
I looked at ece and cpp and i didnt see a 4 wheel disc brake set up on either of their websites. It doesnt really matter to me if i go to all 6 or all 5 lug but one has to go. Initually i was thinking about replacing the rear end with a 5lug rear and problem solved but then im stuck with rear drums so now im thinking that i mine as well shoot the moon and get a nice full disc set up on 6 lug and just keep the rear end i got. I saw that cpp sells a "grandslam" kit that has all the suspension drop stuff as well as front disc brakes and the price is only $1399 but it doesnt come with rear discs and they dont tell you much about the brakes components.
What do you guys think is my best option at this point? Could i just change out my front rotors to a 6 lug rotor? Are all the new 6 lug trucks the same bolt patern as the old 6 lugs? HELP!
