Big Parts Swap Today, or why I'm hurting....

Today I put my dually together. I pulled my 72 long wheelbase dually apart and switched everything over to a 68 dually frame. I wanted the shorter wheelbase of the 68 frame. This gives me a 133 inch wheelbase, but with a disc brake suspension off the 72. I also am using the 292 and SM465 out of the 68 truck too.

I was alone today, so I did it all by myself, which is a bit of a stretch. Wresting the front suspension and engine and that heavy 4 speed around is tough with just 2 hands.

There are sore muscles and bruises involved. I sure hope tomorrow is a quiet day at the station, I'm afraid if I had to fight fire all day, I'd be in bad shape. I may just volunteer to ride the ambulance just to make sure.

By the way, that's just a camera angle, the fender isn't touching the tire, it just looks that way.
