Q: put 80's 3/4 ton axle's under a 71 1/2 ton 4x4?

Still looking for the right 71-72 long box 4x4. May have a 71 1/2 ton 4x4...will see soon.

Wondering if anyone has taken the axles from an 80's 3/4 ton and put them under a 71-72 1/2 ton 4x4? Will the leaf springs bolt right on to the 71 mounts?

What issues did you run in to?
