beaterC10 Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Indianapolis, IN Posts: 1,277	One ton brakes on a 1/2 ton I thought I read that it's possible to get bigger brakes on the front of a 1/2 ton by installing the calipers and pads from a 1 ton. Is it as simple as that? What is larger, the pads, pistons, or both? My truck currently has the 1 1/4 thick rotors on the front, soon to have the wide 1/2 ton shoes on the rear. Can anyone comment?
