402BB sound clips (and other)

These sound clips are cold motors cranked in 40 something degree weather and run for a few minutes to get oiled up.

I like that Lightning but man that old big block just sounds a helluva lot better to me.

The backfiring/hesitation you hear goes away completely after the motor gets nice and warm, is that a choke issue? Or maybe the carb needs some more massaging (Holley 750 elec choke)?
