ScottH Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2002 Location: Hampstead, NC Posts: 8,187	How to tell from vin if 4wd vs 2wd Considering buying a 71 4x4 and was wondering how I can tell from the vin if it was originally a 4wd. Also this is the first 4x4 I have looked at and would appreciate any suggestions on what to look for when I go to see the truck. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks
