4L60E aluminum driveshaft fitment
Sorry if this has been answered a bazillion times, guys....I wish the search feature was working.....
I have sitting in the bed of my 71 Cheyenne a 99 5.7L and 4L60E from a 'burb. I also have the nice aluminum driveshaft from that same vehicle. Since the 4L is ~2" longer than my TH350, I will have to have my driveshaft shortened anyways. Is there a way to use the one piece aluminum shaft? I appears as though there would need to be some serious surgery to the center mount X-member for this to work.....anyone done this? Would I also have to lower the tranny mounting point to get a better driveshaft angle? Thanks, Tim
