I got a bit lucky, I think. I just picked up an original sales book and it
appears to be the year of my truck 1950. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7142889126 Came complete with a salesman card for Central Chevrolet, Clare Jacobs of Cleveland Ohio. The prior owner had made some notes in the margins but what was really neat were the three hand written sheets showing options and costs. page one 4109 1 1/2 ton stake $1680.25 9' body front 700-20-8 ply $62.95 rear duals 700-20-8 ply Aux spring $13.50 Anti freeze $2.10 Total $1758.60 Discount $165.60 Total $1593.00 Ohio Tax $47.79 Final Total $1645.64 Page two 3609 3/4 ton Stake $1459.05 15" 8 ply tires $13.85 Antifreeze $2.10 Total $1475.00 Discount $135.00 Total $1340.00 Ohio Tax $40.20 File Papers $4.85 Net $1385.05 page three 3942 1 ton Chassis Front Bumper 700-17-8 ply tires DA shocks Front and Rear 700-17-8 ply tire wheel and Carrier 137" Wheel base 144" Body Length 70" high 72" wide $1333.40 Wrap around rear bumper Rub rails Dual wipers dual mirrors dual rear doors 52" Glass rear doors Heater defroster four paint one color $1683.42 Total $3016.82 Discount $256.82 Total $2760.00 Ohio Tax $82.80 File Papers $4.85 $2847.65 Anyway if you have avoided getting the 47 page sales book, shame on you. Get a copy it is a great read even if it is the reprint. Dan
