Need Help Quick... Wiring Alternator

I have had a drain on my battery... used the test light trick to trace it to the alternator... kind of an oxy moron that the alternator is DRAINING the battery, but I digress.

The model number of the alt is 7122. There is a post where pos wires run off the alt and back to the battery, then there was a jumper running to a spade connector. When I unplugged the spade connector it quit drawing off the battery. My guess is that the spade connector needs switched power but I thought I better double check.

Please help me guys, thanks!!
