307 or 327? Newbie question!
I am trying to figure out what the CID is for the engine in my 68 1/2 ton, Long Step that I just got home this afternoon. I assume it has a 307 in it, since a 307 was standard for 68. Would a 327 show up on the glovebox sticker?
I have been told that I need to check the stamping on the rear of the block, near the tranny. Are there other ways to confirm which engine I have, that don't require pulling the engine? I am going to be needing points/plugs and the like soon, and I want to make sure I get stuff for the correct engine.
