truth or stupid idea?

Guy I know told me one day that if you replace the intake gasket on a 350 and crap gets down in the oil pump that you could drain the oil and put 1 gallon of desiel and something like 6 quarts of tranny fluid and run it for a few minutes and that would clean the oil pump filter? I think he is on dope but just thought I would ask.
