Question Bought a truck, need some info

I just bought a 68 3/4 ton chevy 4x4 off ebay, and wanted to know some more about it, and things to look for. I talked to the seller on the phone, and i'll try to repeat what he told me about the truck.

68 chevy longbed, CST model, 3/4 ton 4x4. 4.56 gears, 4 speed manual, gear to gear transfer case. 1970 chevy LS6 454 big block, bored 30 over, fully blueprinted and balanced, new everthing inside the motor (only 30 miles on the motor) 500 lift cam, dual row timing chain, 11:1 pistons, edelbrock intake, edelbrock 750 carb. He said it has a closed knuckle front axle, Birfield joint (sp?), what is this and is it good? Good glass, and decent interior, factory buckets, forgot to ask about a/c or tach. Needs new brakes, and drums turned, as well as the typical patch panels for the cab.

A few questions. He said the engine has the braketry for power steering, how hard would it be to put power steering on? My dad has a 79 k10 for a donor truck. I know the patch panels are cheap and a piece of cake, but he said the inside of the bed is really rust expecially around where the fender wells connect. Are there patch panels for this, or would i be better off looking for different bed, no matter how i do it the bed is getting a spray on bedliner.

On another note, is there any way to easily tell if the engine in the truck is truly a LS6 motor? I was told by a friend that the motor could be worth big bucks.

Thanks for any help, and i'll get pictures asap.
