side window vent problem??

Hey guys i need some help,
i'm re-building my side vent window weatherstipping and all.I had my side vent window channel(the part that the window fits into w/a piece of rubber)chromed. The problem is when i installed the new glass and rubber, the glass slides right back out of the channel with little effort?? Seams like the rubber is not thick enough to hold the window tight enough.I bought the widow and rubber from LMC.Anybody have problems like that? I called LMC they said they took the same part #'s and tried it and it fit ok(yeah rite).Any help? Maybe i should try some other company if so any suggestions?

THANKS TOM
