Annoying sound?
When driving with my windows down, before the wind noise takes over at about 30, there is a clicking noise in what seems to be the left front tire. It could be in the right, but being the driver I hear out my left window stronger I s'pose. But, the problem is I can't find any thing that is causing the sound. It's a cross between a small rock or marble bouncing around in the hub cap and when you put a card in your bike spokes, which on a Suburban would be hilarious. I have taken the wheels off and checked the brake rotors and calipers. They seem smooth and nothing makes that sound when I turn them. By the way, it's 2wd so no U-joints up there. But maybe the drive shaft because it is in sync with the wheel speed. Though the drive shaft seems smooth with nothing hitting it, the rubber around the center is almost shot. Any ideas? I've driven it with and without the hub caps, and got the same noise.
Thanks, Sterling It's just hard to look cool and click lol
