I'm probably going to do it and cry!!!!

Well, it has been the topic of my household..
Am I going to sell my Mud Blazer or Keep it to put the 476 in it and 38's on it...

I have a 1 of 563, 1964 Olds 442.. That I would love painted back to stock and have minor body work do to it with interior.

I have been off roading and playing with chevy's for over 15 years, and have been mud racing for the past 7-8 years..

My blazer started out when I bought it in '97, as a normal 1986 1/2 ton red and white blazer with an optioned 350 under the hood with all the extras.
tilt a/c power...bla..bla ...bla..

PO had put a 2in lift on it to fit 33" BFG's..NO rust and ran great even with all the emission crap...It had about 80,000 miles on it.

Well I took it out for a first play in the mud and water. And got hooked again on playing offroad.
From that point on it wen tdown hill or shall I say built by the bankroll...

I blew to the 10 bolt out back and put in a 4.10 12 bolt.
Found a gear matched Dana 44 to replace the 10 bolt up front...All was good
Untill I noticed a slip in the 700r4..
I got lucky and found a guy that rebuitl a 700r4 for a corvette. offered him some cash and he changed the tailshaft and I put her in. Now she chirped the tires whe she shifted.. All was good....

The stock 350 took a dump on me and I had good friend make me a little 355.
And my blazer was new to me..

maybe I should shorten this up..
broke the 12 bolt.
put in a 14 bolt no locker.
found 3/4 ton outers for my Dana 44 so it would match the 14 bolt.
Got a 4in lift that ended up becoming 6 1/2in with a 2 in body..
then came the 36" TSL SX's

Got a smoking deal on a dana 60 and had crossover steering installed at the same time.
Put a powerlock in the dana 60 and a detroit in the 14 bolt.
put a B&M floorshift in and a monster tach with shift lite.
High output alternater to run dual electric fan setup.
Then tweak her until the original 208 came apart.. Didn't have money to swap in a 205 but should of..
So had a fresh rebuilt 208 tossed in
rear disc brakes
traction bars
steering box brace.
mechanical oil gage and temp gage.

Hardly a dent her, and was put through its paces..

I have alot invested but we all know you never get that back..

so low down
355cu with performer intake and 600 edel with offroad kit
700r4 built to handle BBC
208 transfercase
dana 60 powerlocked with 4.10's
crossover steering
14 bolt rear disc brakes and detroited with 4.10's
traction bars
dual electric fans and 4 core radiator
36" 12.50 TSL SX's

Besides it having a faded paint job.
this truck is made for offroad and would look great with new paint..

I will probably put her up for sale for $6,000.
But have to do a couple little odds and ends to her first.

What do you guys think.
