Interesting conversation with Praise Dyno Brake
Just got off the phone with John Ambrose of Praise Dyno Brake in Royse City, Texas. He's the guy in charge where they make 68Suburban's Kevlar brake shoes. I called to tell him that I'd be driving through the area tomorrow and would like to drop in and see his products, and talk about a setup for my pickup. The converstaion lasted a few minutes (3:24 to be exact) but here's the 30-second condensed version:
Ben: I'm Ben, and I heard about your brakes from a guy named Chris in AZ, who I believe is on your website with a testimonial. John: Yeah. Ben: Well, I'm driving past your place tomorrow on my way home and was wondering if I could drop by and see your products and maybe get a better feel for the different types of kits you offer for my pickup. John: Well, we won't be able to get you through. Ben: That's OK, I don't need to have a tour of the plant or anything, I just want to chat with you about your products and maybe talk about prices for a kit for my pickup. John: Well, you know we have a government contract for the Hummer, and we can't let you through the gate. Even the UPS guys have to be classified since Sept. 11. Ben: Oh...well I guess I'll just call back when I get closer to needing them. Thanks! So, I figure their products are probably something special if they go on military applications of the Hummer. longhornmail or anybody else have experience with these things in military motorpool? And now that I know I can't see it, I really want to see the plant!
