Question about cargo light/3rd brake light conv. - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

, I own a 83 Silverado and spend my time on the 73-87 board but need some help. I've been wanting to convert my cargo lamp into a 3rd brake light, but nobody makes a kit like you have available. Early Classic has a kit for $109. like I want, but I don't know if it will work. Has anyone done this conversion, and can they give me measurements of the LED board, so I can check my housing? Or if someone could pull their lens off and give me a measurement of the inside of a 67-72 cargo lamp housing that may give something to work with. I thought about a 94-97 factory 3rd light assy. but I haven't seen the backside of one yet. Any help will be greatly appreciated. David
