I'm doing a reverse of the normal swap, 79 front clip on an 84, have the wiper motor/linkage/etc to swap into the newer cab, all the rest of the good stuff but I recall reading somewhere when I was first looking into this that the brackets for the 73-80 front bumper didnt fit correct on the ends of the newer frame (in this case 1984). Was this true and what was the solution to fix the interchange problem, anything that can be done without welding them on there or chopping anything up?
