I know it has been asked before!

But I can't find it!. I even can't find the search!.
Hi guys/gals:
Correct me if I am wrong please:
1- Brake booster from 73-87 doesn't bolt up to 67 pedal set up. If this is correct, how hard is it to modify it?
2- master cylinder from 73-87 does bolt up to 67 booster.
3- Brake line fitting are different between 67-72 and 73-87.
The reason for all these is the cost. I can get the whole booster and master cylinder for 73 and up for under 140$ with life time warranty versus 300$ something. I am converting to front disc and it is 3/4 ton.
Thanks
