replacment body panel problems

Can somebody please give me some info on how to keep the panel from warping excessivly when I weld a new piece in? I am tacking the panel and not running beads, but the panel always seems to warp. I know I just need to practice, but if anyone has some info to what I might be doing wrong please let me know.
