Install 2" lowering springs = 1" lift kit???

Okay guys... i put summit brand 2" drop coils in my front end last week... ran into that lower ball joint problem, slammed in a couple new ones, got it all put back together and set it down... only to find that i had acheived a 1" lift.

I measured the fender height before, at 32" and after, 33" ... noticibly more air btwn the tire and fender... and the new springs are noticibly shorter than stockers... when i put my weight on the core support, the truck doesn't have any travel...

so, is it:

1. my stock shocks binding up and not allowing the truck to settle? (although they were on the truck w/ the stock springs)

2. or is it that the tops of the springs are binding up and not in place... or, it is that the springs are in upside down??? i put them in, just as the stock ones were in there, even though the lettering on the springs were upside down...

3. or is it that the springs suck and its time to modify!

4. something else!??!
