Quick bed question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

One of my neighbors has a '69 Chevy shortbed fleetside he's been working on for a while now...and I know one of the things he has planned for it eventually is a wood bed. His steel floor, however, is nearly flawless, as opposed to mine, which is...well...used.

The paint doesn't match (not at all, lol), but it's not a big deal, since it's going to go under a bedliner if I do it. Does the bed floor simply bolt on / unbolt from the rest of the bed? Or is it welded on at all?
